Heart Children New Zealand Inc supports children born with heart conditions, and their families, throughout New Zealand. Twelve babies are born every week with a heart defect in New Zealand. That is 600 babies every year.
Heart Children New Zealand provides care and support to heart kids and their families. From before birth, through surgery, rehabilitation and into the future we understand how important it is to have a strong support network to fall back on.
World Vision Sponsorship
Child Sponsorship is World Vision’s way of facilitating community development. The best way to bring about lasting change is by tackling the causes of poverty – not just dealing with the effects. When you sponsor a child your contributions are used in the community to fund the needs the community has identified as most urgent, such as education, health or agriculture.
East Timor Child Sponsorship
The Honey Hive sponsors four children to school. Kids' Ark works with the poor and needy in the district of Hera which encompasses the three villages we work with - Hera, Sidara and Motakiik. We help communities with:
- Education - primary school, preschool, adult literacy and language classes
- Health - medical and maternity clinics
- Sanitation and Water Reticulation
- Community projects - gardens
- Specialist groups - disabled, elderly
As new opportunities and needs arise, we are continually adding to the kind of community development we do.
